Hello
Hello and welcome to my new blog. I decided to start my own blog because I was so inspired by the creative women that I've recently discovered online. I want to begin by thanking Sharilyn Wright of Lovely Design and Danielle of The Makings of Every Day. These women have been the greatest inspiration--they are mothers, artists, writers, and more. And they are so generous for sharing their ideas! So, this blog will be my creative journal, and I hope to share my ideas with others, too.
I feel a bit backlogged with things that I'd like to post...I was ready to start my blog several weeks ago, but the name I had chosen (The Carrot Seed) was taken. So...I've been thinking and thinking about what to call my blog (and maybe my own business someday). Last night, my father-in-law emailed a link to me with birdsongs and photos of Australian backyard birds. (My husband is from Australia, and most of his family reside there.) I came across a lovely bird called the Superb Fairy Wren, also known as the Splendid Blue Wren. (My husband tells me that most of the time they are called blue wrens.) This tiny bird is gorgeous! I especially loved the female, even though she's not the one with the blue feathers. I've always adored birds, and this name struck me as perfect.
